The first step towards intuitive eating begins with one word.

Sometimes.

A small but powerful word.

A word that softens the black-or-white, judgemental language we can use to describe our eating habits. Instead of, “When I’m being good, I have a green smoothie for breakfast” or “I was bad last night, I had a burger”, try “Sometimes I have burgers and sometimes I have smoothies.”

Feels better, doesn’t it? This simple substitution removes the judgement and opens up space to explore the real reasons behind your food choices. I know many of my clients use this sort of negative language every day and this simple tip helps them shift their mindsets.

How will you use “sometimes” today?
